As part of an initative to bring choral singing to Bristol's primary schools,
we are delighted to be able to perform this concert with the children of Perry Court Junior School. Laurie Gethin has been working with these young people to give them a taste of what singing choral music is like and how enjoyable the experience can be especially in front of an audience.
Mark Lawrence is a well known local composer who has written The Cherry Tree Carol as a special commission for the Phoenix Choir and this will be the first performance of the carol.
