leslie BuntLeslie Bunt ~ Musical Director

Leslie Bunt MBE has been the choir’s conductor since 1998. Dr Bunt is a music therapist and hon. founder of the music therapy charity MusicSpace. He is Professor of Music Therapy at the University of the West of England where he works as a music therapy trainer and researcher. Leslie has been active as a conductor in the area particularly with his own chamber group AMICI.

Paul WaltonPaul Walton ~Accompanist

Paul Walton who studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, and was the Sydney Nicholson Organ Scholar at Manchester Cathedral from 1999 - 2001. In September 2001, Paul became Assistant Organist at Bristol Cathedral. He accompanies the Cathedral Choir, regularly gives recitals, and directs the Cathedral Chamber Choir and the Cathedral Consort. He was appointed as the accompanist of the Phoenix choir in 2008.
