Description: | We are delighted to be performing with Bristol Classical Players Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D minor. It is known as the Choral Symphony, features orchestra, choir and vocal soloists. It was Beethoven's final and most grandiose symphony, first performed in 1824 and now considered to be one of the supreme achievements in the history of music. It stands as one of the most frequently performed symphonies in the world and features the famous 'Ode to Joy' in the final movement. The concert will be opened by a new composition for orchestra by Bristol-based composer Caleb Kernaghan. ![]() |
